Chocolate Chips Association is starting its 15th Year in Lake County and has mentored over 250 girls in STEM. This year we continue to expand our reach into Waukegan and North Chicago schools and your help is requested. Volunteer Grant writers and fundraiser support is needed.
Chocolate Chips Association founded in 2003, is a non-profit STEM program for minority girls and 80% are in low-income and high-risk communities. Core program are for girls in 2 nd to 5 th grades with program year September to May and we also mentor girls in 6th to 12 grades.
Each core program year girls are exposed to STEM workshops and activities which could include Forensic Science, Coding Class, Robotics, Stunt Planes and Aerodynamics, Inventor Class and Entertainment Technology Class, Museum Field Trips / workshops, and Chicago Botanic Garden Workshops.
Program also includes annual service projects, life skills sessions, Father and daughter dance / outing, mother and daughter event and fun outings.
