About Us

CONECT organizes a broad, diverse, and powerful mix of faith and community institutions to build relationships, develop leadership, dismantle oppression, take action, and win concrete change on a broad range of social, racial, and economic justice issues that affect our families, our member congregations and institutions, and our communities. CONECT’s 37 member congregations represent more than 30,000 people bringing Black, white, Latino, & Asian, Christian, Jewish, Muslim & Sikh, urban and suburban leaders together.

Over the last 12 years, CONECT has won victories on multiple important regional or state-level issues (automated criminal record expungement, immigrant issues, police reform, health insurance rates, mental health parity, education funding, etc.) as well as victories on a number of local issues in Bridgeport, Norwalk, New Haven, Hamden, etc.
