The Benefis Health System Foundation

The Benefis Health System Foundation’s mission is to improve and enhance healthcare services for people throughout the fourteen counties of northcentral Montana. The Foundation exists to ensure that donors’ generosity transforms the lives of the health system’s patients and their families. To that end, 100 percent of the revenue raised by the Foundation assists the programs, projects, and funds that address the greatest healthcare needs for the people of northcentral Montana, and to drive changes that improve healthcare provision. Since 1998, the Benefis Health System Foundation has served as the only nonprofit, charitable organization that works with donors to drive revolutionary support for the Benefis Health System.

Philanthropic efforts are currently focused on enhancing care and service in the following areas:

• Women’s & Children’s Center
• Sletten Cancer Institute
• Peace Hospice of Montana
• Gift of Life Housing
• Areas of Greatest Need

The Health System and Foundation are headquartered in Great Falls, an extremely livable and family friendly community with a winning combination of natural features such as 57 public parks and the Missouri River’s Edge Trail, good housing affordability, and high-quality educational institutions.

With the longtime COO retiring in the spring of 2022, the new COO will have the opportunity to continue to grow the impact of the Foundation and its programs and initiatives.
