About Us
The Paramount Bard Academy is committed to raising the educational expectations and outcomes for all students and contributing to educational improvement in the Central Valley. The Paramount Bard Academy seeks to demonstrate how a different idea about teaching and learning can create classrooms that foster the best kinds of learning across the full range of students who attend our public schools. Building on recognized early college high school models and in an active partnership with Bard College’s Master of Arts in Teaching Program, this charter school provides an educational program that prepares all students for the challenges of college and for success in their chosen careers. At the same time, the Academy provides a model for educating future teachers and providing professional development for local educators in a model school environment.
