About Us
The Housing Development Alliance (HDA) serves a four-county area in rural eastern Kentucky: Breathitt, Knott, Leslie, and Perry counties. Our mission is to strengthen our communities through creating high quality, long-lasting, affordable homes. To date, we have helped more than 2,500 people access safe, secure, more accessible, and high-quality homes, which has improved the quality of life in our region and has helped spur economic development in an area of the country that desperately needs it.
Our programs and services include: new homeownership, home repair and rehab, and permanent and transitional rental housing for persons with low and very low incomes.
As a community-based nonprofit, we seek to bring together all sectors of the community to help eliminate substandard housing.
