    The INDC - Instituto Nacional de Defesa do Contribuinte e do Cidadão (or National Institute for Defense of Taxpayer's and Citizen's Rights) is a nonprofit organization created on July 20th, 2004 with the purpose of providing services and information regarding subjects such as accountancy, tax laws and their role in the life of brazilian citizens, as well as to supervise and contribute in any way with the ellaboration of laws or research regarding taxation. INDC also has the mission to create, stimulate and support school programs which strenghten democratic values and ensure the protection of citizen's rights as taxpayers.
