  • Mission

Carbon County Friends of Animals is a non-profit organization which advocates the elimination of animal suffering through sheltering and finding homes for unwanted cats.

    About Us

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1997 to provide a safe haven for unwanted cats. Our mission is to offer shelter, care, and compassion to cats who have been abandoned, neglected, or mistreated, giving them a second chance at finding loving homes.

We are a privately run organization. Although Carbon County is part of our organization name, we do NOT receive any funding from the county or any other government agency. All of our operating, maintenance, and care expenses are paid for by monies raised through fund-raising and donations. Our cats are not kept in cages. They have comfortable beds, toys to play with and structures to climb on. Our staff and volunteers create an environment where cats know they are loved and cared for until they find their forever homes.
