BFF.fm is an online community radio station, broadcasting live in San Francisco.

Our mission is to create powerful community radio for San Francisco. To us that means that our station must be inclusive of many people, provide airtime to those not breaking into the mainstream industry due to personal or systemic barriers, and support and celebrate underrepresented independent musicians. We serve the community through a combination of live radio magic, new music discovery, and local community engagement.

BFF.fm serves three main communities: our DJs, our listeners, and creative San Francisco:

• DJs: we support, mentor, and provide opportunities for Bay Area DJs from all walks of life to learn radio and DJ skills. We provide a platform and community for DJs who love radio and may not otherwise have access to airtime.
• Listeners: we serve those who are seeking to hear musicians and content that is underrepresented in mainstream media, because they want to discover something new.
• Creative San Francisco: we serve the Bay Area music scene- providing a resource for local musicians to be heard. By extension we serve other Bay Area creatives- artists, thinkers, entrepreneurs, and public figures - who help make San Francisco a better place.

Our goal is to build a community radio station that’s inclusive of many people and focuses on supporting and celebrating underrepresented independent musicians. Our vision is to grow a station that is loved and supported by its listeners, and has a worldwide reputation for representing the best of the Bay Area sound.
