    Atlantic Symphony Orchestra is a professional orchestra that serves the Greater Boston South Shore region. We bring local access to the highest level of symphonic music to our region, with a commitment to integrating high-quality performing arts into the life of the community.

    About Us

    Formed in 1946 as the Hingham Civic Orchestra - and reorganized, professionalized, and renamed 50 years later - Atlantic Symphony Orchestra has deep roots in the South Shore with a long and distinguished history as one of the oldest community orchestras in the Boston area.

    The ASO public performance season is designed to serve all residents of the communities of Greater Boston and the South Shore with accessible, high-quality live performances, and the regional community of professional classical musicians with employment and career development.
