About Us
Mali Rising Foundation (MRF) is a Utah-based 501©3 nonprofit organization established in 2004 to empower the children of Mali, West Africa by expanding educational opportunities for them within their own communities. The Foundation’s goal is to ensure a fully functioning middle school within walking distance of every child in the country. To date, MRF has built 17 schools with one school currently under construction. MRF also supports access to other education-related needs that are a natural outgrowth of this work including teacher training, textbooks, and solar panels for adult learning. At its core, MRF values working collaboratively with local village leadership to accomplish its mission.
