Columbia University- Atlantic Fellows for Racial Equity (AFRE)
Atlantic Fellows for Racial Equity (AFRE) is a 10-year program designed to support dynamic change-makers dedicated to dismantling anti-black racism in the U.S. and South Africa. AFRE will enable visionary activists, authors and artists, among others, to enhance their understanding of anti-black racism and strengthen their strategic capacity, individual skills and professional networks to lead successful movements for racial equity. The program is one of six Fellows programs created by The Atlantic Philanthropies to support new generations of visionary leaders who will improve lives and advance fairer, healthier and more inclusive societies around the world.
AFRE was conceived, designed, and created in partnership with six leading organizations in the U.S. and South Africa: BOLD, Center for Community Change, Haas Institute for a Fair and Inclusive Society at UC-Berkeley, the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, the Nelson Mandela Foundation and Columbia University. AFRE is seeking a Program Manager for the Fellows Program, providing support for program implementation in the US and South Africa.
