Turnaround Arts: New York City

  • About Us

Turnaround Arts uses the arts to build success in struggling schools. The program is led by the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities together with local partners. It brings effective and integrated arts education into some of the lowest performing elementary and middle schools in the country to shift school culture and climate, and better engage students and parents through the arts. Partner schools receive an array of arts education services and resources designed to increase opportunities for success, build an extended community and raise the visibility of achievements, which include: art supplies, musical education materials, licensing rights and kits for school musicals, instructional resources, professional learning facilitated by leaders in the field, and mentor artists.
