Pregones / Puerto Rican Traveling Theater

Pregones/PRTT is a multigenerational performing ensemble, multidiscipline arts presenter, and owner/steward of bilingual arts facilities in The Bronx and Manhattan. Our mission is to champion a Puerto Rican/Latinx cultural legacy of universal value through creation and performance of original plays and musicals, exchange and partnership with other artists of merit, and engagement of diverse audiences.

Artistic programs include MAINSTAGE: original plays/musicals by our acclaimed Latinx acting and music ensemble; PRESENTING: theater, music, dance, and film/media works by other artists of merit and diverse heritage; EDUCATION: lifelong arts learning for youth, adults, and seniors, and career advancement for artists of color; TOURING: performances and creative exchange locally, nationally, and internationally.

Awards for excellence include New York State Governor's Arts Award, New York State Council on the Arts Primary Cultural Institution Designation, and New York City Mayor's Cultural Achievement Recognition.
