Eugene Youth Cheer

Eugene Youth Cheer was founded in 2024 with the goal of educating, empowering and energizing local youth through the sport of cheerleading.

This recreational program is open to all Eugene/Springfield-area youth enrolled in 3rd through 8th grade. No experience is necessary and we do not have auditions or tryouts; everyone is welcome to join. Participants learn a cheer routine that they perform at competitions throughout western Oregon in January and February.

We believe that cheer has enormous benefits for athletes. It is great for fitness and learning to understand and control your body. It teaches sportsmanship, discipline and leadership. Understanding how to succeed as a member of a team has long-lasting positive implications for work and life. Plus, cheer is fun! We have a great time dancing, jumping, performing, laughing and playing together – and support each other when times are challenging.
