Alwan for the Arts

Based in lower Manhattan, Alwan for the Arts is a non-profit Art and Culture organization that promotes and fosters understanding of, and appreciation for, the diversity of cultural experiences and representation of the Middle East, North Africa, Central and South Asia, as reflected by the artistic expressions and intellectual production of the regions. Since 1998, Alwan has provided a space that allows for direct interaction between the general public and artists and scholars from the region, thereby fostering and enriching cross-cultural encounters, dialogue and reflection.
