About Us

The 2nd Columbia University Earth Summit, Driving Collaborative Solutions, will bring business and social leaders together with academics and students to foster the new leadership required by today’s complex world. This one-day event will take place on Friday, March 29, 2013, at the iconic Columbia University Faculty House in New York City.

Renowned economist and senior UN advisor Jeffrey Sachs will open the Summit with an account of the challenges facing society, followed by panel discussions with distinguished guests, such as His Excellency Stuart Beck, Michael Gerrard, Patrick Kinney, and Karl Giberson. Jeffrey Seabright, Vice President for Environment and Water Resources at The Coca Cola Company, will deliver a closing keynote on the role of the private sector in tackling climate change and other environmental problems.
