Harmonies of Hope, Inc

Harmonies of Hope Inc. School of Music and Performing Arts is a new non-profit organization located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; that is committed to providing free music through a variety of instruments, voice lessons, and drama in combination with private and group lessons to economically disadvantaged children, ranging from 3-18.

The purpose of this organization is to bring back a sense of achievement and encouragement through positive music of different genres, instruments, vocal training, and the performing arts.

Our youth will be able to apply the principles of what they learn through Harmonies of Hope into their everyday lives. This in turn will establish and fortify their personal dreams of being successful in whatever positive paths they set their hearts and minds to achieve.

Harmonies of Hope has developed the “Hope Elevating Life Program for Music Endeavors” (HELP ME), which is a music instruction and mentoring program targeting students underrepresented in the performing arts.

The program serves as an essential bridge to higher levels of musicianship, cultural participation, and personal growth for thousands of students in the area.

Created in 2011, HELP ME is open to serve students in the beginning stages of their musical development. The students come to Harmonies of Hope on alternate Saturday mornings, from 10am-3pm during the school year, as well as weekly Tuesday evenings from 5pm-8pm.

Vocal studies classes emphasize on character development, and ensemble work, and culminate with public showings. A recital will be held once a year for each child to perform. Harmonies of Hope will also regularly invite esteemed guest artists, and notable singers, directors, and conductors to share their knowledge in class.
