Books to Kids, Inc.

The Board of Directors for Books to Kids firmly believe that "there is no child who dislikes reading, only a child who hasn't found the right book." Founded upon this firm belief, Books to Kids mission is to embody and advance three foundational goals: connecting young readers to their favorite authors & illustrators, providing books to children, and promoting children's literacy.

Our premiere & annual event is the Children's Festival of Stories. This collaborative effort is free to Denver area children, families and the community. We host and feature national, regional and local children's book authors & illustrators of picture books, board books, chapter books & middle grade novels. Our presenters offer book signings, panel discussions as well as meet-and-greet educators, librarians and children from across the Denver metro area. Both the 2018 and 2019 festivals were attended by over 600 guests and some 40 authors & illustrators from across the U. S.

In the 2019-2020 year, we are expanding our efforts; in addition to the festival, we are hoping to offer various-grade story time sessions AND to donate new books to several adopted third grade classes at Title 1 schools.
