The Asylum Seeker Assistance Project
- District of Columbia
Founded in 2016, the Asylum Seeker Assistance Project (ASAP) is the first and only nonprofit dedicated to serving the estimated 25,000 asylum seekers living in the D.C. Metro region. Our mission is to support the safety, stability, and economic security of asylum seekers and their families. Our purpose is to build a scalable safety net to ensure that all persons fleeing persecution are given a chance to reach their full potential and to contribute to their new community.
