About Us

Global Emergency Care Collaborative (GECC) has developed an innovative model designed to create a horizontal system of emergency care in resource-limited settings. This model develops emergency care training programs tailored to all levels of health workers and creates a tiered system that makes emergency care accessible to the entire population regardless of where the emergency occurs.

Global Emergency Care Collaborative is a US based 501c3 organization run by board certified emergency medicine physicians. GECC focuses on resource limited countries in which life saving emergency care services are not yet systemically available. GECC has five years of experience operating a successful rural train-the-trainer clinical emergency care educational program and three years of consultative work with universities and government in Uganda for the creation of a tiered emergency care system. GECC offers both educational expertise (Emergency Medicine curricula development, program implementation, and leadership / professional development skills) and consultative expertise (NGO, governmental and university public-private collaboration on tiered EM system development).

Current programming is in rural Uganda and in Nairobi Kenya. Administrative positions available, paid and volunteer, in the United States/ Canada and in Uganda/ Kenya.
