Lyra Colorado

Organization Description

Lyra Colorado (Lyra) is a nimble education nonprofit that seeks to deconstruct barriers that prevent innovation in education.  We attempt to reframe the education improvement debate by empowering students and educators around their needs and interests. Currently, Lyra focuses on two areas: 1) educator-empowered zones of public schools with independent community governance and 2) rural educational collaboratives centered on college and career pathways related to the impacts of climate change through our Climatarium initiative.

While Lyra’s current geographic focus is Colorado, we may work with and find partners in other states interested in replicating our initiatives and model. Our nimble and collaborative team includes Lyra’s small staff and a collection of strategic partners, advisors, and consultants.  Lyra is an evolving organization with opportunities to initiate new programs, projects, and organizations aligned to our mission.  The culture is highly entrepreneurial and a great fit for mission-aligned and values-driven individuals.
