HURTT FATHERS ADVOCATE CORPORATION

The Hurtt Fathers Advocate Corporation (HFAC) is dedicated to strengthening families, supporting fathers, empowering youth, and expanding access to opportunity through education, workforce readiness, mentorship, mental health support, leadership development, and community-based services. Our mission is to help individuals and families build stable, healthy, and successful futures while fostering stronger communities across Maryland.

The Hurtt Fathers Advocate Corporation (HFAC) is a 501(c)(3) grassroots nonprofit dedicated to strengthening families by helping fathers, youth, and young adults overcome barriers to success through mentorship, workforce development, education, and family support.

We are currently building an innovative pre-apprenticeship and workforce readiness program, developed in partnership with a leading university, to prepare youth and young adults for careers in the skilled trades and other high-demand industries. Our vision is to create a pathway that equips participants with the life skills, job readiness training, financial literacy, and support they need to enter registered apprenticeships and long-term careers.

In addition to workforce development, HFAC provides mentoring, family engagement, community outreach, and programs that help fathers reconnect with their children while creating stronger, more stable families.

As our organization continues to grow, we are seeking passionate volunteers who want to help us expand our impact.

We are currently looking for:

Grant Writers to identify funding opportunities and develop competitive grant proposals that will help launch and sustain our workforce development and family programs.

Google Ad Grants Specialists to manage and optimize our Google Ad Grant, helping us reach more families, recruit volunteers, attract donors, and increase awareness of our services.

Every volunteer plays a meaningful role in helping us create opportunities for youth, strengthen families, and build brighter futures throughout the communities we serve.
