Boulder-Jalapa Friendship City Projects, Inc.

  • About Us

Founded in 1984 in solidarity with the people of Jalapa, Nicaragua, then engaged in the Contra War, the Boulder-Jalapa Friendship City Project promotes development in the predominately rural farming region in the country's north. In the past decade, FCP has assisted poor campesinos in the construction of four potable water and other development projects. FCP also promotes cultural exchange by sponsoring brigades of Colorado volunteers to Jalapa to work on the projects.
