KisanAid

KisanAid is a nonprofit organization established to alleviate economic and social depression in rural India. It seeks to dramatically reduce rural suicide rates in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra by addressing the underlying factors that plague farmers in those regions. As an apolitical and nonreligious group, it endeavors to apply an effective policy mix that will provide both short-term relief and long-term solutions.
