Southside Community Farm

  • Mission

Southside Community Farm is an urban farm located in the heart of the historically Black Southside neighborhood in Asheville, NC. Founded in 2014 by neighborhood residents as a way to provide healthy food within the Southside community, our mission is not only to feed people, but to co-create a web of food sovereignty in which community members have tangible power over their local food system. This mission includes creating and supporting avenues of education, climate resilience, food access, seed sovereignty, small-scale economic viability, joy, rest, and healing. Check out our website for more information about who we are and what we do.
