SAFO, Public Organization

History of the organization WPO «SAFO» established 30th of December’ 2004. The idea of the NGO creation appeared, when current trainers of SAFO worked in the Children-Teenagers club "Sea gull" of Khujand City. During the first realization of pilot project on PHAST methods in one of the rural areas of Sughd region, staff of the project, who was trainer of the "Sea gull", was a witness of the many offenses and discrimination's, which occurred in respect of rural women. In view of this complex situation of the women and children in north Tajikistan connected with exclusive poverty, absences of the access to clean drinking water and safe source to sanitation's, income for food and improvements quality to life's, low level of education and access to knowledge, threats to epidemics HIV/AIDS disease and drug addictions, WPO "SAFO" was created to help the woman and children in improvement quality to life's and achievements social-economic, legal and food independence. Mission Increasing the status of the woman in society, education of growing generations, reduction of poverty and assistance to democratization processes in the districts and cities of Sogd region. Organization exists for protection political, social, economic and cultural rights of the woman’s and children. SAFO tries to assist the equal participation of the woman’s in all sphere public and private life. Provide protection of the Child rights and education.
