About Us

The mission of Plano Children's Theatre is to develop the character of youth through quality performing arts education and family entertainment. Our vision is to make our programs available and desirable by all North Texas residents.

In 2014, we added the dba of North Texas Performing Arts to serve as the umbrella name for all our theatres: Plano Children's Theatre, Fairview Youth Theatree, McKinney Youth Theatre, Frisco Youth Theatre and NTPA - Dallas. We offer afterschool and summer performing arts training for youth, major productions featuring the best of Broadway scripts and dramatic literature, daytime performances for schools and daycares, special needs programming for youth and adults, free community outreach, birthday and scout parties. In 2016, we awarded over $125,000 in scholarships and first time student discounts to make our programs accessible to all North Texas Residents.

Volunteers are critical to serving our mission. We need volunteers to help with productions, grant research, fundraising events, community events, Boards. All volunteers, 16 and older, must submit to a criminal background search in order to volunteer at Plano Children's Theatre.
