AARP Foundation Tax-Aide of Marin
Mission
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide provides free tax preparation services for seniors and moderate to low income taxpayers. The Tax-Aide program has helped more than 68 million people since it launched in 1968. It's the nation's largest free volunteer tax program.
About Us
Our Tax-Aide program in Marin has six offices located across the County. In 2019 we helped approximately 2000 taxpayers in the area. Besides preparation of tax returns we also provide free electronic filing. No prior tax preparation experience is necessary, but familiarity with computer use is needed. We also have positions for greeters and client facilitators, who do not wish to prepare taxes. Training is provided in January, and our offices are open February 1st through April 15th, with volunteers typically working one or two days per week.
