    The Harlem Book Fair takes place annually, in July, in New York City. It is New York City's largest public book festival. The mission of the Harlem Book Fair is to create access to the transformative power of reading by celebrating, encouraging, and promoting literacy and literacy awareness through public author programs, community participation, corporate partnerships and in-school programs that broaden and empower local communities and contribute to the vitality of American culture.
