Mission: To provide a community that promotes an active Jewish way of life from childhood through adulthood.

Values: To be successful, BTBJ must offer excellence in the following 5 components:

1. People:

• Provide an open and welcoming environment to all members, staff, and non- members.
• A community that offers fellowship and support through times of joy and sorrow.
• An energetic community that encourages people of all ages to unite, share, and engage.
• A community that offers and embraces spirituality.

1. Education:

• Provide a preschool and religious school that is dedicated to teaching our children Conservative Jewish values and traditions, as well as a commitment to the Jewish community and to the State of Israel
• Provide and promote Jewish educational opportunities that encourage all members to be fully engaged in continuing their personal journey of Jewish growth, learning, and spirituality.
• Provide opportunities for staff and lay people to learn and grow in their respective positions by providing proper training and resources.

1. Religious:

• To have Clergy and leadership that actively engages the community to work for shalom (peace), tzedek (justice) and hesed (loyal love) in the domestic, neighborhood and global spheres
• To provide a Conservative Jewish environment that promotes Jewish values, practice, personal growth, and spirituality.

1. Financial:

• To be excellent stewards of the congregational funds to ensure the ongoing viability of BTBJ’s daily operations and facility.

1. Process:

• To be efficient and united at how BTBJ works as an organization, ensuring a strong core of volunteers to support the BTBJ staff in all facets of synagogue operations.
• To ensure that each ‘affiliation’ within the community works in harmony and in alignment with BTBJ’s vision and mission.
