Executive Director or Interim Executive Director

The Sweetwater Family Resource Center is seeking an Executive Director who has the ability to work with clients facing a variety of issues while providing a calm, welcoming atmosphere and communicating respect for all people. We are accepting candidates for either a full-time, permanent Executive Director or an Interim Executive Director position, which could become a permanent position depending on the candidate's interest and abilities.

The Sweetwater Family Resource Center works toward creating a community of stable and non-violent families and individuals. The Center operates a variety of programs including supervised visitation, parenting, anger and financial management classes, basic needs assistance, and services to homeless individuals. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who enjoy working directly with clients while having the ability to shape the overall direction of an organization.

The Executive Director's duties include:

• Managing multiple programs
• Meeting requirements of multiple funding streams
• Developing relationships with other community providers
• Managing a small staff
• Writing grants and reports
• Preparing budgets

Desired education is a BA or higher in social work, psychology, or a related field and at least 3-5 years of related experience. This role does work directly with clients, and above all, the ability to communicate respect and compassion for all people is essential. Knowledge of non-profit administration and systems, family systems, child protection, poverty, housing, and basic needs programs is helpful. We will also consider recent MSW with at least a few years of relevant experience.
