    We believe everyone deserves the chance to read well, build confidence, and move up and ahead in life! At Literacy SC, we teach adults and families practical skills in reading, writing, and math to build confidence in daily life.

    What we do:

    Adult Reading Programs: Free, private tutoring and small group classes plus all books for English-fluent adults.

    Small Group Classes: Practical reading, math, writing, ESOL and job readiness classes.

    Family Literacy Programs: Free programs like Reading Begins Here.

    Family Pages: Free children’s books to encourage reading together at home.

    Our reach:

    We are in Richland, Lexington, Aiken and Saluda counties of South Carolina, partnering with libraries, schools, homeless shelters and community centers. All programs are free or low cost.
