  • About Us

    Our Vision

We envision a United Nations system that is more impactful, inclusive, and future-ready—one that leverages the full potential of its people to accelerate progress on global priorities. Through transformative learning, knowledge exchange, and strategic capacity support, the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) equips individuals, teams, and institutions to drive meaningful change in pursuit of peace, sustainable development, and human rights for all.

    Our Mission

The UNSSC contributes to a more effective, results-oriented, and agile United Nations by providing cutting-edge learning and knowledge solutions that strengthen the capacities of UN personnel and partners. We bring together expertise, innovation, and diverse perspectives to co-create solutions that help address complex global challenges—from climate change and conflict to inequality and digital disruption.

    Who We Are

Established by the UN General Assembly in 2002, UNSSC is the UN system’s inter-agency learning and knowledge institution. Guided by its statutory mandate, the College supports capacity development in three core domains: training, continuous learning, and knowledge management. Our work spans three substantive pillars: sustainable development, peace and security, and UN internal transformation through leadership and management.

We serve as a centre of excellence, strategic convenor, and knowledge catalyst, delivering high-quality programmes to a wide and growing audience—including UN staff, civil servants, civil society actors, and policy leaders from around the world.

    What We Offer

In an era marked by accelerating change and growing uncertainty, UNSSC provides full-spectrum learning and capacity support that is context-sensitive, evidence-based, and strategically aligned with global frameworks such as the 2030 Agenda, the Paris Agreement, Our Common Agenda, and the Quintet of Change.

    Our Key Functions:

    • Centre of Excellence
    • Knowledge Broker and Manager
    • Convener and Multiplier
    • Advisor and Service Provider
