ALearn’s mission is to deliver high quality math and college readiness programs to low-income,
underserved students to increase their college aspirations and eligibility and to
significantly raise their college-going rates.
Since 2008, we have served close to 8000 students in the neediest schools of the Bay Area. Our summer programs supplement the school year for low-income students who might have otherwise encountered "summer learning loss" not experienced by their higher income peers who are more readily able to attend summer camps. Our after-school programs supplement the school day and give struggling students the one-on-one support from a teacher and aid.
We run 50 classes during the summer and 10+ classes during the school year, at various public school sites. Our program is completely free to the students of these public schools. We fund the teacher, aid, currriculum, students' supplies in the classrooms, as well as field trips to colleges and museums.
