Plymouth United Church of Christ

  • About Us

Plymouth Church, the Jazz and Justice Church, is a welcoming, diverse and inclusive church.

Our congregation reflects the diversity of the Bay Area, with people of Caucasian, African American, Latino/a, and Asian American heritage; people who identify as “straight” and people who identify as queer and trans; single people and married/partnered people. No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome at Plymouth Church.

Our worship is joyful, vibrant and filled with fabulous music. Folks often say that Sunday worship at Plymouth is one of the best concerts they’ve ever attended! Our congregation includes some of the Bay Area’s most celebrated jazz and blues musicians, and their gifted artistry is the heartbeat of our Sunday morning worship.

Our theology is progressive and open-minded. Members are encouraged to see themselves as beloved children of God and a “co-conspirator” in building a more just and peaceful world.
