Futurewise Whatcom

Futurewise Whatcom is an official chapter of the Seattle-based non-profit organization. Futurewise is the only statewide organization in Washington State whose mission is bringing citizens together to manage growth and stop sprawl. Through grassroots organizing and advocacy, we work to protect Washington’s farms, forests, and rural areas from the destructive impacts of irresponsible development while making our towns and cities better places to live. Futurewise promotes livable communities by encouraging and supporting the development of compact, transit-friendly, and walkable neighborhoods.
