Farming Falmouth

We are a fast-growing all volunteer organization engaged in a variety of initiatives that allow for many different volunteer opportunities. 1) We run an educational series designed for backyard gardeners and community gardeners. The speakers and workshops are filmed, so that we can create content for youtube and our local TV station. We want to expand the conversation about growing food to include many more members of our community. 2) We work to establish new community gardens. 3) We have planted a community orchard, a pawpaw grove and are developing a service garden on our town-owned farm. 4) We have teams of gleaners working to harvest food from local farms for donation to our local food pantry. 5) At the most ambitious level, we are working on the acquisition and preservation of small parcels of agricultural land. We are looking for volunteers to join our board, join our education committee, fundraise and farm.
