The Gatekeepers Collective (TGC)

The Gatekeepers Collective’s (TGC) mission is to build resilience and community among Same Gender Loving, Queer, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender African-descended men to support healing, self-determination, self-actualization and love.

The Gatekeeper's Collective operates as a self-reclamation center where participants commit to unlearning internalized racial and sexual oppression, integrating their multiple identities, aligning with their leadership potential, and becoming proactive change agents in their communities.

TGC employs a revitalization process where education, advocacy and ritual are used to support resilience and leadership among this population. Resilience refers to a dynamic process in which people build and tap their resourcefulness, natural strengths and talents to adapt to, resist or recover from adversity and maintain well-being.
