Bond Street Theatre
Bond Street Theatre creates innovative theatre works that are socially relevant, educational, and accessible to diverse audiences worldwide. Our goal is to further crosscultural understanding by initiating theatre arts projects in a wide range of communities globally, and to stimulate other artists towards these ends through artistic exchange with other artists and organizations worldwide. The company particularly focuses its work on areas of conflict, refugee camps and post-war environments. The company has brought healing artistic programs to Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Kosovo, Serbia, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Romania, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, China, Indonesia, Japan, Israel, Palestine, throughout Eastern and Western Europe and the USA. Most recently, the company has been dedicated to working with children and women in rural Afghanistan in collaboration with the Afghan theatre group, Exile Theatre. Bond Street Theatre has been honored with funding from the MacArthur Foundation, Arts International, the Trust for Mutual Understanding, ArtsLink, the National Endowment for the Arts, TCG, and other donors.
