FREEDOM ACRES

  • Mission

Freedom Acres, established in 2015, rescues and provides a forever home for abandoned, neglected and abused farm animals We currently have about 98 residents . We focus on rescuing animals commonly raised for food, such as farm pigs, cows, goats, sheep, Cornish X chickens, "meat" rabbits, ducks and turkeys. Our mission extends beyond providing a safe haven; we actively advocate for animal welfare through personal interactions and social media campaigns. We share the residents' stories and inform as to the lives they would have endured especially on factory farms. In addition, we have horses, mini pigs, alpacas, dogs and cats. We educate about the commitment needed when one has companion animals, and the potential dire consequences of rehoming your pets.

    About Us

Freedom Acres is thoughtfully designed to emulate the natural environment for the animals; with ducks, chickens, and rabbits enjoying a large fenced area to roam during the day and secure shelters at night. Other animals have the freedom to roam day and night and access shelters if they choose. Our innovative approach to animal welfare includes seeking the input of the animals themselves to determine their preferences.
