Sports Eye Foundation Uganda (SEFU) since its inception in 2010 has lived to fulfill its legal mandate of using sports as a tool for community transformation. Prior to the general elections of 2011, SEFU parterned with Uganda Youth Network in senstising youth against election violence. This campeign was done through sports engagments for the youth.
As Uganda was commemorating its attainment of 50 years since independence, SEFU partned with the National NGO forum in creating awareness to all citizeens in the Country of the need to reflect at the journey our Country has passed through as well as envisioning how Uganda would be in the next 50 years. SEFU is also an active member of Green Light Movment - GLM (A youth movement in Uganda of all youth led organisations and individuals that aims to act as one voice for the youth using social media and mobilisation as key approaches). SEFU with support from GLM managed to popularise the youth fund bill to the youth in northernern Uganda - Amuru district before the bill could be tabled to Parliament for discussions so as to capture their contributions as well.
At the existance of SEFU, the biggest and outstanging initiatve it developed is the National civil society sports league which is a sports engagment league of various sports discplines that brings on board various civil society institutions (NGOs, Networks, Coalitions, CBOs etc) into a sportive meet aimed at showcasing the various human personeel from the various organisation, showcasing works and publications from various organisations, creating a platform for interraction between the growing and the already esterblished organisations for a mutual benefit amongest other reason.
