Our main focus is character development. We do affirmations with our dancers and teach body positivity, respect for others, acceptance, and kindness. Our dancers have sisterhood, and everyone is welcome!

    About Us

My offering to the community comes from a void I felt growing up. As a girl, I wanted to ice skate, dance, cheer, play sports, model, and perform. But being the oldest of three in a single-parent home, those dreams were out of reach. My mom worked hard to keep us afloat, and I stepped into a helper role early on. I never got to participate in the things I longed for.

When I became a mom, I made it my mission to let my kids explore their interests. My sons did football, basketball, baseball, track, boxing, wrestling-you name it. I was always involved: team mom, athletic director, board member, even president. I had planned to start the Rosenberg Ravens football team but found the market was saturated. Basketball was another challenge, so I launched my own league right here in Richmond-Rosenberg to give kids a local option.

After watching how other leagues operated, I researched and launched the Richmond Rosenberg Youth Sports Association in February 2015. Our basketball league and dance program ran for six seasons until the COVID shutdown. We held camps, drives, and other community events.

Though I loved the league, my heart belongs to our dance program, now Art of Dance Studio. We started in a school band hall, but I knew the girls needed a place of their own. In 2016, we found our forever home at 1108 3rd Street in Rosenberg, TX.
