  • About Us

Founded in 2002, Groundwork, Inc. supports children and families in East New York, an economically challenged and under-served community in eastern Brooklyn. Groundwork identifies small communities with high rates of poverty, typically public housing developments, and provides academic enrichment and other supportive services to a critical mass of families who live there. In this way, we seek to empower not only the families we serve directly but to change the community itself by increasing human capital. Groundwork serves over 2,500 families annually. All of our programs and services are offered free of charge.
