  • Mission

We strive to empower all residents to shape the future yet the unique qualities of this place and its people, foster and promote a healthy and thriving community, and revitalize neighborhoods and communities through social and economic development for all its residents.

    About Us

Las Vegas New Mexico Community Foundation (LVNMCF) connects donors, nonprofit partners, and community members to build a stronger San Miguel and Mora County, one investment at a time.

We manage charitable funds and grantmaking across six focus areas: Agricultural & Environmental Sustainability, Arts & Culture, Community Development, Education, Health & Wellness, and Historic Preservation. Our funding supports everything from local food systems and post-fire recovery to arts programming, education initiatives, and preserving the places that hold our history.

We also steward the Anchorum Community Health Fund, a multi-year partnership with the Anchorum Health Foundation. This fund invests roughly $750,000 annually in the social determinants of health across our region, prioritizing upstream, root-cause solutions in mental health, housing, food security, long-term fire recovery, health care access and more. We also have a partnership with the Carl C. Anderson Sr. & Marie Jo Anderson Foundation, which focuses on meeting basic and essential needs for children and youth, and improving quality of life for older adults and people with disabilities, in the communities we serve.

For donors, we offer a simple, trusted way to give locally: donor advised funds, scholarship funds, and legacy giving options tailored to what matters to you. For nonprofit partners, we offer funding, capacity support, and a genuine thought partner invested in your success.

We serve a rural, majority-Hispanic region recovering from the largest wildfire in New Mexico history. Our work starts with listening: to residents, to local organizations, and to the priorities that emerge directly from the community.

    Helping Greater Las Vegas THRIVE.
