We strive to empower all residents to shape the future yet the unique qualities of this place and its people, foster and promote a healthy and thriving community, and revitalize neighborhoods and communities through social and economic development for all its residents.
As a startup organization, we were steadily increasing our ability to help people in our service area from just over $21,000 in 2018 to more than $62,000 in 2020. Then came the Hermits Peak and Calf Canyon wildfires. Our number of donors reached 1,400, and our grants for relief and recovery soared to nearly $1 million in the year and a half after the fires. We are continuing our work with long term post fire recovery as well as moving forward with funding other community projects.
