About Us
We are a private non-profit corporation (501c3) that provides legal advice and/or representation to low-income, disabled, senior citizens and other individuals who live in KS or have a legal issue in KS and are experiencing barriers to obtaining legal services in civil cases. We are what is commonly referred to as "Legal Aid," however, while we apply for and receive grants from the government; we are not a government entity. Kansas Legal Services is a statewide non-profit organization. The Kansas City office is one of 11. We cover the counties of Franklin, Johnson, Leavenworth, Linn, Miami and Wyandotte.
