  • Mission

The Good Samaritan House enriches the lives of homeless women and children by supporting them in a loving Christian environment. While providing safe and temporary housing, basic human needs and supportive services, the Good Samaritan House offers residents opportunities to enhance life skills, increase self-esteem and become self-sufficient.

    About Us

Started in 1998 by a local ministerial alliance, Good Samaritan House (GSH) has been home to more than 5000 Metro-East women and children experiencing homelessness. Today, GSH serves as a temporary home to more than 250 women and children annually. With the average stays lasting only 3 months, 80% of GSH moms graduate from our program with employment, safe affordable housing, skills and support needed to end homelessness for their families forever.
