Without natural supports or family, young people leaving the foster care system must enter adulthood without a financial safety-net or nurturing guidance. FYF offers former foster youth financial assistance to help support their basic needs as they complete an educational program or enter employment. Further, the organization pairs each participant with a volunteer mentor who provides ongoing guidance during this critical life stage. After a minimum one-year commitment, young people have improved life skills and better capacity to successfully navigate their future.
