  • About Us

SHALIN is registered in Finland as an NGO and works with networks, Civil Society Organisations and individuals promoting development that restores human dignity, maintains ecological integrity and respects the core values of individual entities, societies and communities.

SHALIN seeks to facilitate capacity building, information exchange and the search for common strategies between groups or regions, so that local communities can become better equipped to determine their own future. We seek to engage Global South partners in people policy work at the national and international level for the protection of biological and cultural diversity through promoting holistic development.
