  • About Us

El Buen Amigo and Latin American Cultural Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Chilean immigrant, Santiago Masferrer after coming to the U.S. as a refugee. As an organization, we are committed to promoting fair trade practices and building awareness about issues of economic justice. To carry this mission out, we offer classes, community projects and events, in addition to fair-trade crafts, as we strive to bridge the cultural gap between Western New York and Latin America. We believe that fairness and accountability are beneficial not only to the people which produce our handmade products, but to the environment and the worldwide economy. Our mission is to create a just and sustainable future with dignity and hope for all peoples of all hemispheres.
