The Global Parish Project

The Global Parish Project (Global Parish) is a non-profit organization that was formally registered in Belize on 9 April 2008. Global Parish is dedicated to cultivating social and culturally themed audiovisual media, literacy, and creative expression in Belize and its Diaspora. Global Parish is passionate about film and documentary video, and believes in the contribution of documentary media in Belize to the achievement of key overarching goals: (1) promoting youth empowerment, social awareness and self-actualization, especially for at-risk youth, through creative expression; (2) strengthening national identity(ies) through community storytelling and the intergenerational documentation of cultural heritage; and (3) promote greater and cross-cultural access to audiovisual media in Belize and its region.
